Called to Serve

"Dear Sister Butters:

"You have hereby been called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the New York Rochester Mission. In addition to you calling to share the gospel, you will be assigned to serve in the Hill Cumorah Visitors' Center."

With those three simple sentences, my dream came true. I have always wanted to serve a mission, and all of my hopes were fulfilled with my assignment. I had told my family before the call came that I would love to serve in a visitors' center. I guess Heavenly Father was listening ;-)

My mom and siblings will maintain this blog throughout my mission. They will post my letters, photos and updates, including current contact information. I hope you all enjoy reading even half as much as I will enjoy living it.
