Auugust 28, 2012

Dear Family,

I seriously can't believe yesterday was my 2 month mark! It is insane how quickly time is flying! I'm also in the last week of my first transfer (what?!) I'm 99 percent sure I'm staying in Newark with Sister Adams since I've still got another transfer with the training program, but I guess you never know! We will find out for sure on Sunday I think whether we are in fact staying put.

The sites are starting to slow down a little bit since everyone is starting up in school again. I hear they will pick up again at the end of September-October as the leaves change and people come on fall breaks and such.
I've had some really great learning experiences this week that reminded me that I'm certainly not perfect and still learning, which is exactly where I need to be ;-) This last week we had a zone meeting about a talk Elder Bednar gave in the MTC about the character of Christ being putting off the natural man to look outward toward others instead of inward toward oneself. I had prayed for an experience in which I could really practice looking outward instead of inward, so you bet the next day I had one!

As for emailing, I am sitting right now at the Newark Library. We always either email from here or the Hill Cumorah Visitors' Center if we are in Palmyra doing something. As for laundry, we have to pay $10 each a month to use the laundry machine in the basement of our building but at least it's close and we can throw a load in during the middle of the week without having to worry about it. It makes it so the laundry machines aren't as crowded on P-day.

Well I'm actually running out of email time now. I'll try to write you a letter when I get back to the apartment. Sorry in advance if it's short again!

I love you all times a billion! Thanks to you (my family) and everyone else! You have all been so supportive and I appreciate it more than you know! I miss you but I know we are all exactly where we need to be right now. Loves loves loves!

Love,

Sister Butters
