It's certainly been a chilly week here
in New York! It's been in the teens or lower, but we've bundled up and
stayed warm. We've been getting little bits of snow, nothing too big
though. Sounds like you are getting pounded again in Utah! Ha ha I
thought it was supposed to here that gets all the snow!
Anyway, it's been a good week again. Being a
missionary is the best. Normally I'm pretty aware when my "month marks"
are coming, but it wasn't until I saw the program at church yesterday
that I realized I've officially been out 7 months. How on earth did that
happen? I feel like I'm still brand new!
On Wednesday we had site meeting at the Peter
Whitmer farm to go over safety stuff and then Sister Madsen and I went
over key tour points for our training (the same as the first site
meeting I did at the Smith Farm). We ended with everyone in the log
home. where the church was freaking organized! (I'll never get over how
cool that is). We sang "We Thank Thee Oh God for a Prophet" and it was
so neat to be in a room with a bunch of people that I absolutely love,
singing a testimony of what I absolutely know to be true (that we have a
prophet on the earth today and that Joseph Smith was a prophet) in the
place where the church was freaking organized! (I will never get over
how cool that is!!!)
Other miracles from the week: we got to go to the
temple, we got the site schedule done for the next two weeks (the first
week we did in a half hour which was a miracle in itself and the second
week I did by myself because Sister Madsen was way sick and I was super
afraid I would mess it up doing it on my own, but Heavenly Father
watched out for me!), getting our article done for the mission
newsletter, getting a letter with pictures from home (thank you!) and so
many more! Sister Madsen has started me doing this thing where at the
end of each day we write the miracles we've seen that day in our
planners. It is so great! You all should start doing that in a journal
or something. It really opens your eyes to see how much Heavenly Father
sends us tender mercies every single day. I expect to hear some really
awesome miracles that you've observed in your next letters ;-) ha ha yes
Sister Butters :)
Anyway, I'm about out of time for this week! I love
you all soooooo much! Thank you for all the love and support. Remember
how much I love you!
Love,
Sister Butters
