In case you didn't see on the letter I
sent, my companion got her visa!!! I'm so excited for her! She got the
call from President Francis last Monday. We had seen on Facebook a bunch
of other visa waiters posting that they had gotten their visas earlier
in the day, so we figured last week wasn't the week. We were at the
church writing letters and playing basketball and stuff when she got the
call. She was so surprised and so happy! I've never seen her as happy
as when she found out she was actually going to get to go to Brazil!
Anyway, I'm excited for another week here in Brockport. I know Satan will keep fighting harder to make sure good things don't happen. I just want to be on fire these last 7 weeks.
Sister Gillespie taught me the hymn "The Time is Far Spent" in the MTC
(I hadn't ever heard it before). We sang it in church yesterday and I
realized, yes, my time as a missionary is far spent. There isn't a whole
lot of time yet, but I just want to be able to leave saying, "I did
what I came here to do." I just have to give all and expect nothing.
Thank you so much for all the prayers! Keep praying for my investigators, they need it more than I do!
Love you and miss you all times a billion!
Love,
Sister Butters
