Dear Family,
It's been such a great week here in
the NYRM with so many miracles. Heavenly Father has already been so good to me
for my last transfer, and we are only a week in! (But at the same time, I can't
believe a week has already gone by!!)
It was so sad to say goodbye to
Sister Morgan. The Ellises took us into Rochester and took us out to lunch
before we took her to the mission home. She was so nervous! We took her to the
mission home and she was off to the airport within 20 minutes. It happened so
fast, but I know she's probably rocking it down in Brazil!
Monday night I got to be in an epic
trio: Sister Hawkes, Sister Gillespie and I. We decided that trio should have
happened a lot sooner :) Ha ha we had a lot of fun together getting Sister
Hawkes ready to go. They were moving the sisters apartment in that area too so
ALL of the sisters had to pack. It was probably a good thing I was there to
help with some of the heavy lifting (ha ha yeah right, right?)
Tuesday was transfer meeting and I
got put with the amazing Sister Sumsion! I love being her companion! It's
awesome because we already know each other and have lived with each other so
there's none of that awkward learning to live with each other stuff.
Probably the biggest miracle of the
week was Elder Porter of the Seventy coming for a mission tour on Thursday. We
were combined with the other Rochester Zone for our meeting and it was
AMAZING!!! He talked all about the doctrine of Christ and how we need to focus
on the basics and the simplicity of the gospel more. We talked a lot about the
sanctifying power of the Spirit too. Elder Porter really wanted us to be
involved and as he was facilitating the discussion I could just feel the Spirit
emanate from him and I knew he was called to be a representative of Jesus
Christ. The Spirit was just there the whole time.
Anyway, I should probably get going.
Love you all times a billion and
miss you tons!!
Love,
Sister Butters
