Dear family,
We got to help out last Tuesday at the 183rd anniversary of
the Book of Mormon being published. We helped take tours at the Grandin while
the senior couples acted out scenes from the time period. It was a lot of fun!
I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon. IT'S SO TRUE!!!!!!
All of the new sisters are ALL STARS! Elder Searle had all
of them bear their testimonies at site meeting and the Spirit was so strong! A
lot of them are here because of the age change, which their testimonies were
proof of how inspired the change was. Through all of that day, I kind of forgot
that was my 9 month mark! Ha ha I'm grateful that I didn't have a lot of time
to think about it. I don't want my mission to be half over, but I guess I don't
have any control over that. Time just keeps on moving forward, that's for sure!
As for work in my area, we've had the opportunity to go
tracting quite a bit (ha ha yes, I'm trying to build a better attitude about it
by calling it an opportunity). We definitely need to find more people to teach,
and Heavenly Father has blessed us by putting us at the right place at the
right time. We've been able to find TONS of people at home and talk to them and
teach them about the Book of Mormon. A couple of times we've been knocking on a
door and the person will drive up to their house to come home right as we are
doing that so we get to talk to them.
Wasn't Easter Sunday
so great! I hope you had the opportunity to read "The Living Christ."
I got to a couple of times that day. I am so grateful for the knowledge that He
lives! Because He lives, I feel like nothing bad that happens matters because
through His atonement we can find peace and the power to move forward.
Anyway, I'm about out
of time, but I just want to let you all know how I know Heavenly Father is
leading this work. He is blessing me with patience where I normally wouldn't
have it and fills my mouth every day with what to say every day.
I love you all so
much and thank you for your support! I seriously couldn't do this without you
all! I love you and miss you so much and pray for you all the time! Keep on
reading your scriptures and praying!
